2025 Miss Plano, Miss Plano's Teen, Miss Yellow Rose and Miss Yellow Rose's Teen Preliminary Competition Information

Here are the details for our Preliminary Pageant:

Elibility:
To compete in a local or the state pageant for Miss America's Competition Cycle 27 (starting August 2025), you must qualify with the outlined requirements:

- For Miss America's Teen, ages 14-18
You must be 14 by the state competition in June and no older than 19.
​
- For Miss America, ages 18-28.
You must be 18 by the state competition in June and no older than 28.
​
Both:
- Be a United States Citizen
- Be a female
- Single (not married)
- No legal dependents
- Be in good health to meet the job requirements and demands
- Be able to meet the time commitments and responsibilities as outlined by your local program
- Meet the residency requirements

*Residency Requirements:
Contestants must have residency in the state where they are competing for six (6) months before competing in their first local pageant.
​
*Residency is defined as the primary address where you physically live. Residency verification includes a driver's license, vehicle registration, property mortgage or lease in your name, tax filings, etc.
​
The Competition:
Each Miss and Teen Contestant will compete in the following categories, reflecting their weight on their overall score:
​
30% - Private Interview
Contestants will have thirty seconds to provide their Community Service Initiative (CSI) to the panel of judges. It will then follow with 9 minutes of questions centered around the contestant's fact sheet and CSI. The last 30 seconds will allow the contestant to finish answering a question or provide a closing statement.

20% - Onstage Talent
Contestants will present a 90-second talent performance. The Miss America's approved talent list can be found here.
20% - Onstage Fitness
Contestants will model Rebel Athletic wear from the Go Red Miss America line, which can be found here.

20% - Onstage Evening Gown
Contestants will model an evening gown of their choice reflecting their personality, style, and poise.
​
10% - Onstage Question
Contestants will answer one question based on their CSI. No questions will be asked regarding politics or religion.​​

The Registration Form here will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to enter.
Things to Know:
The first to register will be the first to pick her contestant number once we meet the registration deadline. The second to register will get to pick her contestant number second and so forth.
